Default Sport Bucket Help

Help!

Just purchased a pair of sport buckets out of an RS and started to install them. When I checked underneath them, the yellow bracket connector was missing. Am I safe in assuming these are typically included with the seats? Also wondering if the connector on the standard sports seats could be transplanted.

Thanks

In the two sets I've owned they have been with the seats. If you are looking at 997.2 to 997.2 variant they should work. I can't speak to the 997.1 Strange that they didn't have the connectors.

Also just realized that the belt connectors were not present. Hoping I can grab those too.

Hope you find the connectors. Does the seller have them?

If they are stock seats for a 997, the connectors should be there. 996 GT3 seats don't have them. I doubt that most aftermarket seats are so equipped.

I am not sure which connector you are talking about. On both sides there is a connector for seat belt that snakes through the seat from the seat belt buckle. On the passenger side there is also a pressure sensor to arm/disarm the passenger side airbag. If you had power seats, there is also a module mounted under the cushion for the driver's seat that controls memory and mirror tilt-down. In this case, the connectors for the module will stay unplugged and you won't have memory or mirror tilt-down functions when you swap seats.

It's the yellow box connector that the wire from the car connects to. Search "seat DIY" in this forum to see a picture. It was removed from the sport buckets by the shop that removed the seats from the car.

Does anyone have a copy of the PET for the Sport Bucket that they could send me? Specifically I'm looking for parts and part numbers for a few of the connecting pieces in case I need to order. Thanks!

Mooty: PS - I'm here.

Derek - Mooty mentioned it. If I can get the GT3 up here by then, I'm in.

Brunch meet maybe in a couple of weeks? Sounds like most of the guys here are in the city or S. Bay.
