We have rented the track at TWS which is a former NASCAR track located in Collge Station which is about an hour and a half from Austin.
This would be a great location for some warm up after the long hauls many of you are making and another track to check off on your list since many of you are coming so far I know when I travel it's nice to run more than just one track.
The track Is in good shape and Lone Star PCA runs its Club Race At TWS each year. The paddock has lots of room for big rigs and plenty of garages.
Best of luck with transport over and hope you can make it for the extra day and track.
TWS is really a world class track that just got left behind when the owner got in a fight 20 years ago with NASCAR who wanted him to slow the track down it was too fast.
That was the birth of Texas Motor Speedway and the Death of Texas World Speedway.
Sound familure, owners picking fights with the wrong people?

If we can get 25 or more cars entered the full track will cost us 150 each. You can bring in trailers the night before from 5-10 pm run the day open track from 8:30 to 3 so we can pack and head over to COTA.
Let me know we will go through ClubRegistration.net on this if there is enough interest.

Awesome idea !
TWS is a diamond in the rough, COTA a diamond.
I've been driving and instructing at TWS for 25+ years and it still brings a smile to my face every lap.
If you guys need some local help to jump start you with the quirks of TWS I am sure we could get a good experienced group of instructors/coaches to help.

Vonschmidt,
Might be a good idea to shoot Mark @ MVP an email and see if he will email the other COTA participants with this offer. I doubt there are 25 RL that would be able to make it. Just a thought.
