On the 996 system above, the valves open and close, and basically bypass the side mufflers, correct?

When the valves are closed, I assume the performance is worse than stock due to the transition? (instead of a smooth bend, it now hits a flat valve butterfly, and force the gas to turn 90 degree?

Wow! That’s automotive **** at its finest. Two questions:

1. Can you tell us how loud this system is on the 996 GT3 with the side mufflers in bypass mode? A video would be great.
2. What are the gains in bypass mode?

If not too loud, I might be interested in a version of this system that omits the side mufflers and valves.

Hi cfjan

The system performs better than the "valves closed" oem with the valves closed, your right, there is a 90 degree transition when the valves are closed, but the internals of the oem silencers have some much more restrictive transitions inside them. when the valves are open, the system obviously becomes free flow, with high flow cats, the gains are 22 hp for the exhaust, and a significant weight saving.

Fbirch I am glad you like our piece.

We have our customer filming the car after fittment. Idle and driving, so we will provide the footage here. It s not going to be very loud on bypass mode. It will deliver a nice and sporty track car sound. Normal mode is quiet with no intrusive sound in the cabin.
The power gain is 22 hp.

We have a super sport design as well. It involves manifolds, cats, X pipe and center muffler. It is very light. We can make it sound very good without being obnoxiously loud like many other super sport systems out there.

If you can email me your car details , we can tailor a part for you. It can be in stainless or Inconel.

That's a beautiful system. I like how you thought outside the box with regards to the plumbing for the "quiet " mode.

Very nice exhaust development.
Would love to see these headers w/o side mufflers or cats and just a center resonator.
Now I'm a bit foggy here in reading your dyno graph.
You made 422 rwhp with a .1 GT3 and 402 lb/ft rwtq?
Am I reading this correctly?
Even with an engine build we could not produce that level of torque.

Thanks

Thank you Chris!

Hi ranger, thanks for the complement.

this was a tailored exhaust, the customer gave us his requirements, and we built the exhaust accordingly. he wanted to keep the silent mode pretty quiet, but the bypass mode to have some good gains, and that race car sound!

of course we can build a system without side mufflers and cats, we can build you any system you would like!

if i recall correctly, yes that was the final dyno results, although what we were really looking at was the delta gain, to circumvent any calibration errors, or wear to the car. the stock car vs the exhaust and software upgrade were performed sequentially on the same day.

once replacing the stock cats with 100 cell cats, we tuned the primary lengths, cross sections and collector volumes to get the most out of the scavenge, we were pretty happy with the results!

WOW

That surely is very impressive. Do you also make exhaust for the 993 turbo?

Keep up the good work

That graph lists power in ps, not HP, and torque in Nm, not lb-ft.

422 ps = 416 Hp
402 Nm = 296 lb-ft.

Thank you for the clarification.
Still 416 rwhp from a 3.6L .1GT3 is astonishing.

Thank you guys, glad you like our parts!
Unfortunately we don't have a 993 part developed.

Chris, you are right, thanks. We are based in Europe. Nm and Ps are our standard units.

It would be great if one of your GT3 customers could send a video of the car accelerating away or towards the camera in both modes so we can get a good sense of how it sounds.
