Personally... I would wait till you do a track event. It might or might not be your thing. If you aren't going to track the car then I wouldn't go with a GT3/RS. They are great cars but truly meant to be tracked to be truly appreciated.

What is your budget? Sounds like you are looking for something more flashy then anything else. I would say a LP550-2 or a GT2 would be a great option.

430 Scuderia, GT2RS, MP4-12C or 4.0RS, everything else will feel slow or soft or heavy or it is unrelilable.

Gallardo=limp mode. 2013 Viper looks promising (and heavy too). XKR-S is a joke as a track day car, the Gold and Platinum DE Cup drovers would cook the transmission, engine and brakes in a few laps.

Actually, I've heard regular XKR's do very well at the track. No brake fade at all. And actually handing it to some 911's...

The jag XKR has it in principal but for a full season of D.E would be a diiferent storey.
When ever a XKR (or Benz SL for that matter) is on the track i tend to give them a lot of space.....

Put one on Sebring in Summer weather, on DOT-R rubber. If it survives for 25 minutes at the Gold DE Cup pace (2:20 -2:24.999 laps), I buy you beer, and retract myself publicly.
