They both tow fine - get the best deal you can and they both will resell quickly when you inevitably go enclosed ;-)

I know "it will never happen"
Until you get sick and tired of loading and unloading your open
Plus an enclosed is a great place to hide stuff from your _____

Just sayin
I sold my Trailex

Have enclosed now, won't go back

And I enjoy driving my 3/4 ton truck. Everyday....it's like a big lazy boy

Birds of a feather

Sat radio, AC seats, sit up high, 20mpg on highway...
Torque for days
Easy to drift
8000 lbs to 60 in 7 seconds
What's not to like... So they are a bit piggish...

Time to go to track - hook up and leave

Had the Trailex open 8045 and it was a great trailer, my only concern was having the spare tires/wheels and the car exposed while at motels so I decided on an enclosed trailer. Sold the 8045 for what I had paid for it several years earlier and ordered a Trailex enclosed. Both tow great behind a Cayenne S and the quality of Trailex is second to none. In both cases I drove to the factory to pick the trailer up. Carl and the guys at Trailex are great.

15 mpg combined city highway no trailer

9mpg towing, cruise at 80-85

The wood is my favorite part, matches the dash in my golf cart

2011 Cayenne S in town mileage no towing 17mpg. On the highway, no towing 24+. Drops to 22.9 at 75+ When towing the enclosed Trailex at 65-70 MPH getting right at 13 mpg. I understand the diesel will do slightly better

Yeah, eventually will likely get enclosed. Currently not an option. Would require new tow vehicle too and not able/ready for that at this time. ______ would not be happy.

Tasman

I have had both and prefer the FL, but for a marginal tow vehicle the Trailex is a better option. Caveat I have never towed with less than a full size truck. I have also towed over 100k miles with cars on open trailers and NEVER had anything taken and some hotels I have stayed at aren't in the best of places.
