I loved my NR shifter. Rock solid with zero issues. And I wasn't shy about putting it through it's paces. My guess is that with any mass produced item, there's going to be a faulty product from time to time. Unfortunately you got one.

I don't worry about isolated issues, my concerns are more with how are they handled. NR is making it right.

Mine was one of the broken shifters. Did ruin a track day and engendered a tow to the shop. But was replaced at no charge and I am happy now.

Spoke to Dan at Numeric. He has agreed to overnight the new part and to pay the dealer for the labor to swap. Can't realistically ask for more than that. Thanks Dan.

Great back up, good to see a company standing behind its products and customers.

Well done.

I am looking forward to getting one for my 996 cup very soon...feedback from a few cup owners that have them has been that it is a terrific improvement over the stock shifter.

I have a new Boxster S. What do semi solid transmission mounts do for the performance of our car. I seem to remember someone saying that it helps to prevent wheel hop, is this true?

Does it change the ride quality and would it affect your factory warranty.

Do you guys recommend this product for 2009 gt2?

Also, I would like to keep the stock throw feel but I would like to have the shift to feel more precise. I have bad time shifting from 2nd to 3rd at 7000rpm. Does the NR shifter improve the shifting from 2nd to 3rd while keeping the stock throw feel ?

Change the engine and transmission mounts. That's all you need. It's not the shifter. It's the misalignment of the drive train under load. The stock mounts are flimsy so there NVH levels are reasonable.

Are you sure about this on the 7GT2 ? It has specific (harder) mounts than the turbo - do you know for a fact that changing them to solid makes a big difference in this regard ?

Night and day difference between the GT3 cars. I'm assuming the turbo cars are much softer than the GT2 cars. I've not driven a turbo. But I've driven a GT2, and it felt as stiff, if not a bit less than the GT3. Maybe some GT2 owners can chime in.

It solves the high-g shifting issues on the GT3, but comes at the expense of some cabin and shifter NVH. The numeric shifter and cables don't add any precision - it transmits a lot more of the feeling from inside the transmission. If I knew what I know now, I would have just got the bushings and called it a day.
