On the 16th of this month I was told it would ship "by the end of next week"

So that is shipping tomorrow?

I should have it relatively soon - although my review will be delayed as engine out repair will be commencing about the same time - cylinder base gaskets have failed

Hopefully just a bit of leakage. Good luck.

Jeff - I have a CMS shifter in the car now that I like... Which I believe is quite similar to what numeric offers... I ordered a cae shifter to try as I want the throws to be average but the shift **** to be up by the wheel
So the only way to do that with a CMS/numeric style shifter is to remove console and raise the entire assembly... I don't want to remove center console

Either the CMS or the CAE will win my personal shifter battle royale

PJS,

sorry mixed them up, one thing to note is the Numeric system has adjustable cable blocks which makes fitting and adjustment a cinch.

They all look like quality items. It will be interesting to see your feedback on the CAE shifter.

PJS,

Cylinder head failures are rare, hopefully it will covered by the warranty and you'll get a fresh engine.

It will be interesting to see if its a cracked head or barrel/block?

Cylinder base gaskets failing
Head gaskets are fine

No biggie

All will be fine
Glad the aftermarket warranty was in place

Just a short update, I have now had time to really test the gear change quality. 100% shift rate, with no bulks or wrong gears selected even being flat at the rev limiter and cornering and braking. This is how Porsche should have done it.

Still no noises or vibrations just super accurate and positive shifts with no play. Best mod I have done by a long way, the pleasure is back in driving now I don't have to 'think' the gear change when flat out.

Cheers Dan!

This is a very nice piece. I have about 8 track days on the shifter so far. Wonderful part. Very precise.

Why? Stock 996 cup box is a big pile of plastic. I've held it. Can't believe that comes stock in a 200k car. Nothing special over stock GT3.

My numeric shifts like butta. Maybe he has it on too short a setting.
