Default S-Car Go, Marin?

I'm relocating to the bay area in January and am trying to find a decent shop to do tuning and track maintenance on my '10 GT3. Initially I didn't see any indie performance shops in the vicinity. Tonight, I came across a shop called S Car Go which is much closer to where I'll be based and wonder if anyone here has had any positive / negative experiences with them? If you prefer to remain anonymous, feel free to PM instead.

Thanks

I've seen some of their fabrication and all I can say is REALLY nice. Headers for our cars DO work really well.

PM me for the details, but UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES use S-Car-Go... unless you appreciate getting f*cked in the *** without any lubrication.

use either Sharkwerks in Fremont or BR Racing in Saratoga/Los Gatos both shops can support you and are ethical businesses with many satisfied customers ...

SCARGO does great work. Not the least expensive shop, but high quality work and has been around for a long time. Surprised to hear negative feedback, curious to what the situation was?

their technician Pat Sexton was the lead technician at the local Sonnen Porsche dealer. Great guy and honest.

he may be (I have no experience with him) but the company and its principal Mr King are not remotely reliable in my personal experience.

I've dealt with Sharkwerks a couple of time from afar. It's a bit far from where I'll be living but Alex was extremely helpful and nice and I wasn't even a paying customer. I appreciate a shop that realizes everyone is a potential customer, unlike some other shops I've dealt with.

- went 100% over agreed budget and time
- performed work that was not authorized (powder coated engine)
- did not perform work that was supposed to be undertaken (did not reprogram DME for 3.8L upgrade)
- illegally removed the bulb from the speedo CEL to mask the multiple DME faults present because the ECU was not reprogrammed as required (this is actully illegal in Ca)
- built engine that had significant and multiple oil leaks
- tried to avoid taking responsibility for making good on these issues to make the car sellable/legal again

Too his "credit" Rob was eventually persuaded to "make good" on the mess he created and I sold the car, I believe that owner also had some subsequent experiences with SCarGo too...

This behavior was enough that I would never recommend SCarGo to anyone... sorry

Ive dealt with Rob a little and had good experiences. Bruce and Robb at BR Racing are also great guys, I highly recommend them.
