So, how did the the day go, guys? I was signed up but had to cancel due to family reasons which is a bummer. I wanted to meet a few RL'ers as it sounded like there was going to be a solid GT3 turnout and, I was even looking forward to little wet practice.

By coincidence, I saw Serge and his beautiful Guards Red GT3 today. BEAUTIFUL CAR, Serge!! Anyone who has never seen a GR GT3 in person is missing out. What a striking color! Hope to see you in the area and keep a lookout for me whenever you're roaming the Roseville area. I think we're the only 997.2 GT3's around Sacramento?

the weather was "****ty" in the morning and the track was very wet and quite treacherous... someone "allegedly" in an (air cooled) 911 blew their oil on the car and dropped all umpteen quarts of their engine oil from T3 onwards so the track was closed for a couple of hours being cleaned, it
finally reopened in the afternoon but T4 was so bad we ran the NASCAR chute instead... and it dried up to boot! saw the aforementioned GR .2 3
and I agree it looks fantastic in person!

Ack! Oil and water and Sonoma... lovely. I'll peruse the YouTube/Vimeo world for any interesting videos or maybe some you have something to post here? Would love to check 'em out.

I'm not on track until January... That seems so far away so, I'm living vicariously through the 'list to get me through. I would've LOVED to see your car in person, too, Larry! A unique beauty for sure!

I actually enjoyed the first session when the track was wet. But not so much after the oil dump.

Look like the offending 993. Poor guys. Not a fun way to enjoy a Porsche. Interesting how the Mini driver keeps following the 993's line all the while slipping in oil and using his wipers to clear oil from his windshield. Maybe it wasn't as obvious in person as it is captured on video?

Fun starts around 3:14 in.

I decided to "eat" my 200 bucks and stay home. Looks like a good decision on my part :-). Maybe the mini-driver "missed" the oil but he has a heck of a good line and ate P-cars etc. for lunch... Watch his hands, they hardly move, a sign of a good driver! Wish I was so good ;-) See you all next year.

I was a passenger in the A group when the 993 puked oil...after pulling off track at turn 7, the 993 proceeded to do an additional lap instead of coming in. He couldn't have done a better job emptying his oil tank around the track, as his oil light went on in the pits...

Besides all that, the track was very fun at around 3-4pm when it dried up. I managed to get one quick session in.

Medpilot - funny coincidence today. Your car looks sweet too.
