The banner ads on top are "targeted" and based on cookies on your machine.

Semantics. IB sells the banner space, and then they're loaded with ads. I do the same thing to marketet my company.

What I can't figure out is how I'm seeing so many Obama ads.... At the moment it's an ad for Cabela's. Could the two ad demos be any more diametrically opposed?

Maybe it's the searching I've been doing trying to prove Obama wasn't really born in the US
