If we can make this happen N Cal caravan can meet up with S Cal caravan and we can all haul our racer together across Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. There are no stupid 55 mph speed restriction for truck trailer like in California so we can do 75 mph and gas is super cheap once you leave California. This is very promising! We need a great event like this to bring East and West cost rennlister together and have a shoot out

We can do 3 rounds of knock-off qualifying with 24 drivers, following the F1 format, then a 2 hours Enduro DE Cup session to emulate a F1 race. Whoever completes the most distance on track, wins the DE.
I am game! Are we going to divide car up into GT1, GT2 and GT3 categories according to HP/weight ratio?

I look forward to the East beats, er, vs. West GT3 DE Cup Challenge.

There are no classes in GT3 DE Cup Challenge - run what you brung. And no cheating. lol

For me to get there, Austin is 1200 miles from Fort Myers, FL (my winter GT3 home). After event I will head home to Arlington (not Texas, Virginia) add another 1500 miles. No sweat. Must order that transferflow thingy though.

Bonus points for fastest laptime in the first run of the event!!!

We have 4 categories already established in the DE Cup World Championship:

Platinum Cup
Gold Cup
Cup of Coffee
Moving Chicane Cup

We don't go by power/weight ratio. Some Aero Beetles are in the Moving Chicane Cup, while others with faster drovers are in the Gold DE Cup.

Bring the Z06, because DE Cup is only open to street cars, legal for Cars and Coffee and public roads driving. Race Cars are not allowed in the DE Cup, that's what Club Racing is for.

Check the cancellation policy due to flying debris on track, because we all like to run the outside wheels over the apex.

LOL

Will most likely bring Z06 and that will spice things up with your Ferrari - it will be like ALMS club racing style. I don't mind people riding on, over or off the curb and patch of dirt on track just shows you how hard we are pushing our car. They don't call me the spin doctor for no good reason. I go off track at least once every event. All I ask is a clean and well maintain track and I am 1000% sure circuit of America will deliver. Do ask everyone to change coolant to water/water wetter. Coolant spill is just deadly!

Mark (MVP dude) emailed me to say that to email him and he will front-run the list for us and let us pre-register before opening it up to the public... but you have to send him your email now.

Why have 4,5,6....people tow from Florida. Get a car hauler, everyone fly to Austin and let somebody else do the work. Can't be much if any more money than vehicle miles, gas, hassle of towing. Plus it's easier to drink beer on a plane.

I sent multiple emails last night and they bounced back. His inbox might be full, by the overwhelming response.

I need to wait until the end of the month to obtain data from the F1 race, as my PS3 F1 2012 simulator shows speeds too high at the 2 hairpins.

Also need to research how to install a DRS and a KERS in the Fiat.
