MPSS FTW!
My last pilgrimage to the Nordschleife was this weekend. The weather was clear and cold up north but the first winter snows unexpectedly landed in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg making the drive to and from the 'Ring interesting to say the least. I am not endorsing the MPSS as a true winter tire but it did handle freezing temperatures, precipitation, snow and a little bit of ice extremely well even at auto bahn speeds. I would never drive at that rate on a MPSC or any shaved track tire. The couple of seconds the MPSS gives up to the dedicated dry conditions only track tire is well worth it if you drive to and from the track. I love these tires.

totally agree
besides the tread depth, what i think is key is the mpss tires versus the OE mpsc have an massive operating temperature advantage in the lower outside temp range of 0C - 5C over the OE cups that just lose all grip and go hard
from a street driving perspective, that's why the mpss shine, it gives up a tiny bit of performance at the very high end but works in down pours and all the way down to almost freezing - so for many people it can work as a year round tire
i would never, ever use mpss in the snow, but they do function in cold weather - the OE tires do not

I just had a service less than two weeks ago at my dealer and they gave me no problem at all. I hope these tires do not receive the N(X) designation from Porsche any time soon as I think all it will do is drive the price up into the PS2 category.

My Experience with Michelin Pilot Super Sports + 997.2 GT3:
Had the chance to put Michelin PSS through its paces on Dry Canyon Roads, Freeway and they worked flawlessly. With crisp turn ins, loads of predictable grip & forgiving over rough surfaces, these tires are a bargain for this kind of performance. In fact, my new PSS tires feel & handle better than my last set of Pirelli PZero Corsa. Not sure how I will evaluate these in the wet since my car does not go out in the rain. Nor can I comment on its durability, since I don't have that many miles.
