Damn! That was heart breaking! You were looking sooo good! How close were you to the lead car? Were you able to pressure him at all?

P2 held us back for 2 laps and P1 was long gone. I am glad P2 was slow so I can get some heat into my slicks. I could not make any turns with decent speed. All the spin at T2 happen when I tried to make my normal braking and turning marks and you can see what happened. It was like ice skating. P1 had Hooiser R6 and much much more down force which suited the cold track condition. My Micheline slicks were like granite hard all day long. I needed super soft orange side wall slicks ... just glad the spin was some what controllable

Black twin turbo NSX - one of the two "real" racing NSX in the world. It's was the twin to Kip's NSX with full on race cage, CF front spoiler and canards and big *** rear wing. He had 4+ seconds up on the rest of the field per lap. The main difference is that his tires grip much better in the cold. I would have better chance breathing down his neck if the track temp was 30F higher

Sad to see the end but great race nevertheless. Certainly not for the lack of efforts!

Surprised you had that much of an edge against the viper... guess that's just a street viper not in race trim?

Thanks

It's the process of racing that makes it fun and challenge. I have been known to fall asleep at the wheel and drop 4+ seconds per lap when I am P1 without competition ... get's boring when I am by myself. It was a thrill to challenge myself even though the track was slippery and I spun out at the end

997.1 Cup is super fast - it's faster than street 7.2 RS on the stright and can keep up with most high Hp cars. That Viper was a moster and fully race prepped with fuel cell, cage, moton shock and Lexan windows. He kept me on my toes all day

Kip was not there - it was another guy driving a different NSX. Kip's NSX is still not fixed after the wreck at Thunderhill.

Mikymu,

This is your annual warning. I will be at Sears Point Friday and Saturday with the PRC and POC for Porsches at the Point. It is about time we meet face to face...

Regards,

Matt
