How about mixing 08 for front and 06 for rear? I heard some people doing that.

I have never had any fade ever with the Pagid RS 29 and 19's, with temps as high as 97 at 1800 ft. What the hell are you guys doing?

This is at PIR, THill and the Ridge with some deep braking zones of 120 to 40, and some 140 to 70 zones as well.

I just don't see anyone here with fade issues and most run pagids.

I haven't had fade issues with pagid's, but once down to a little less than 50% pad material they don't have the same bite. I am on my 2nd set of pagid pads and it has happened to me with both sets. I have a set of PFC(06/01) pads waiting to go on the car for my next track day.

Same here. 95-100 degree weather and RS29s outlasted MY endurance when I pushed them for 15+ hot laps (on irons). Those who experience fade with a similar setup are likely (a) driving at substantially higher levels than average, (b) need to flush out their old brake fluids or (c) invest in better brake ducting.

It's not fade due to brake fluid boiling it's fade like the pad has hardened after a few days of heat cycles...like a tire heat cycles out.

1st day of a DE on new Pagids and they are great, no issues, 2nd day so-so after that and/or 50% pad life brake distance definitely changes like the pads are heat cycled or glazed over.

PFC08's do not do this and offer great bit and modulation. Plus PFC doesn't need to be bedded it like Pagids do...which is impossible to do on the street and near impossible to do at a DE with out causing concern or traffic issues.

What Mike said ^^
I had 2" brake ducts through the front bumper getting more air inside the wheel well into the brake scoops that i also enlarged and 3" NACA ducts from the bottom to the center of the rotors..

Pics in my signature.

I don't know what I paid but RPW sells it as a package excl. installation, but that should just be a few hours.

Not feeling it.

No drop in performance with Pagids. In fact if anything last track day at Thill they seemed to bite better at the end of the weekend and they are at 30%. I would say tho that my braking is "gentle"- squeeze on then hard application- some have a more agressive style that might not work well for the Pagids, I don't know.... Before you jump to any conclusions my lap times are competitive, so I'm not pussyfooting around.

no idea, but it's happened to me twice with pagids. Had my first event on PFC's ( 06/01 ) a few weeks ago. So far I like them over the pagids. Require less pedal pressure and good modulation. Love the no bedding requirement.

I haven't measured the rotors/pads yet to see how wear compares, but I will and report back.

Can the PFC08 be used for street driving? Looking for street pads that bite better than the stock pads.

Driving a 997.1 GT3 with steel brakes.

You can drive the pfc08 on the street but they don't bite like stock pads do when cold. Plus the 08's have even more brake dust than stock pads. Stock pads work great cold and mid heat. Race pads like 08's need to get real hot to work their best and with street driving you will never get them hot enough.
