Last year Peter and I hired Chris Hall as a coach. The lemon broke, so we both used my car

90F plus outside, my car was on track for 4 hours straight in the morning and 4 hours straight in the afternoon.....besides gas fill ups

At the end of the day I checked the pads to see how much we had left, the brake pedal felt fine

Im sold on PFC

Old Guy.....double check I think PFC has made the 08 compound for Stop Tech pad sizes

I think the ones that come on a GT3 are rubber over some sort of steel braid......ages ago 911 Slow sent me info on this

That being said on my old car I has stainless and new car OEM......I cannot tell a difference

Bob

For some reason the pfc don't taper as bad. I flip them after four events and they wear pretty even

Anyone got the actual friction coefficients and the heat ranges for the PFC pad range rather than the text descriptions available from the PFC site etc?

Wonder why Porsche just doesn't use studs from the factory?
thanks, would you be so kind to let me know the PN for the studs?
TIA

Part number for 3.8 and 4.0 are:

front:
999.061.003.02
Rear:
999.061.004.02
You will also need the nuts, those I don't have the PN off hand.

Not in stock this week, looks like everyone decided to replace brakes at once.
Once you're there, also add the ceramic puck holders.

Anything else Mr. Drummer ???
LOL

I get mine from Carl at Perry Auto Laval. Makes it a bit easier.

Monday I did a track day and at noon my pads looked like this (PFC08):

Drove with them for +2 hours in the afternoon with zero issues or brake fade.

Concerning caliper bolts: replace them with the Porsche Motorsport studs. No more worries about breaking the alu thread, and no bolt replacement needed either.

I wouldn't bother with steel brake lines. OEM works just fine.
