Default Alcantara steering wheel

Hello

My 997.2 Gt3 steering wheel is kind worn out (by previous owner) Esp on the top portion of the wheel - They are fuzzing off and some parts are smooth.

I thought about re-wrapping it but again (if that is possible), also considering just plunging down and spending 1k from Suncoast to replace it with OEM (I prefer not to) I wish these wear and tear was covered by the warranty =)

What do you guys recommend?

You can bring back the alcantara by brushing it gently with one of those white gum erasers. You can also remove fuzzing with a razor blade by doing a light shave on it.

Thanks for the tip. I usually try to not touch the wheel at all. So fragile looking =)

Default Dallas Custom Steering

+1 on Dallas Custom Steering. Very professional. Worked on two projects for me. They'll also do a swap where you send the "core" to them once you replace it with the new steering wheel. They have access to a lot of wheels and have some of it advertised on eBay.

Alcantara is pretty easy to clean if not too far gone. Brush it as RAudi Driver says. You can also clean it with a clean damp rag, blotting it. Blot the damp surface dry with a clean, dry rag. Let it air dry the rest of the way. Repeat if necessary.
www.alcantara.com has the details under maintenance.

If it doesn't come back, there's always Dallas.

+1 its prolly just matted down. Sweat, grease, etc.... on your hands will matte it down. Get a brush thats made to clean suede and GENTLY clean it till it normal again. If you do have Dallas Steering Wheel wrap it Id like to see the final product. I was thinking of doing that myself.

I saw Mikymu's DIY on removal. Kinda scares me with the airbag thing.

So mch to buy on my list (GT2 seats/Rollbar, new tires, refinishing wheels, and this now)
I will try to get the "fizziness" ad "shininess" with RAudi's advise.
