Default Aesthetic updates on .2 GT3 RS - Thoughts?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to make the car a little more low key and highlight the classic 911 lines a bit. I recently removed all decals and had painted the wing uprights and end plates matte black. Will be replacing the side-view mirrors with cf and replacing the red up front with black as well. Curious to see what people's opinions are... and don't worry, I have pretty thick skin so honest feedback is appreciated , I'm also open to suggestions.

Re paint the Roll Bar too, the red stands out, black won't be so obvious.

Looks good, this is how Porsche should have configured the car!

Take the spoiler off altogether. The engine cover is a bit of a duck tail which is classic.

I think you're plans will look perfect. You might consider replacing the turn signal lamps with the clear ones (a pretty common change that makes the look more consistent).

Thanks for the feedback gents. Very helpful.

I actually do like the ducktail look as was suggested, but also want to retain the aero functions of the wing. When I took the wing off for painting, I took a spin to see the effect the wing had. The difference is noticeable with the rear end being more unsettled at high speed.

I think the 997.2 RS was way over the top from the factory, especially with the red accents! (I know, I'm the guy with the red wheels...)

I think your car will look very nice once you have the mirrors and lips in black. I also agree to redo the rollbar in black.

The pic below is one of my favorite RSs that GMG did, if you're looking for ideas. The graphics don't stand out as much in black and actually complement the car.

The red mirrors look wierd without the decals. I do like the GMG car above. Mine was PTS gloss black with red. I thought about doing the same thing but decided it was not a keeper for me so left it stock.

Haha...that is actually not my neighborhood at all. There is a nice park right in front and that is where I took the picture.

That is really nice looking. As far as decals, I'm actually considering going with the black strip that runs down the middle of the car similar to the 4.0.

Listed here at Suncoast. Thoughts?

Black wheels with Black CL nuts, remove lipstick, carbon mirrors, black rollbar. Done. Even with the Black decals it looks good.

Black Brake Calipers.
