If you like to collect pics, there will be some more from the local photographer coming up in the next weeks. I'll post them here once I get them.

I absolutely love the Mono and applaud you for buying one. I posted about it when it was first introduced a while back. Looks like a blast to drive and more fun than a GT3. If you have the money then why not? I thought about it myself but don't have time to enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing the comments. It is amazingly well loved for only having been driven by a handful of people so far

My GT cars always sit in my garage unless I am going to the track and whenever I do street drive them, the lookyloos and boy racers make it less fun than it could be.

So I sought a more involved, intense, driving experience for what I enjoyed most- track. With a Mono I (will) get a pure "race car", power to weight ratio of a Bugatti Veyron, along with low running and maintenance costs. Fits in my home garage, easy to work on. The build/design quality and driving dynamics are among the best of any car in the world.

It is pure 100% unadulterated aesthetic and technical **** to my eyes.

(See the 8" long, 6 oz anti-sway bar in the last picture? How can any real car guy not be in awe of technology like that?)

Love it! But I'd want a plate on mine. Too many great roads out there.

I'd want a plate too as limiting it to the track wouldn't work for me given its cost. I think it can be done, at least in my state of Virginia. I saw an Atom this morning with plates on it so I'll bet the same could be done with the Mono.

Savyboy, if I overlooked it earlier in the thread I apologize, but can you post the specs/color of the car you have coming?

The opportunity to register it varies by state. I could do it as a Kit Car here in NV, but then all the taxes/fees/insurance, etc come into play.

The primary reason I'm not registering it however is I think it would be suicidal. Even though the stance is full sized, it is so low profile I'd surely get run over. I'd guess Reno is 80% SUVs Plus, of course, the gawkers would make it unbearable. You'd sure as hell be the hit of the year at Cars n' Coffee!

I'd be curious too how that lovely $$$ Hewland FTR sequential race gearbox would hold up in street driving? Maybe fine? They are road legal in Europe amazingly enough...

My spec need not be locked for another few months but in regards to options:
  • Cockpit adj brake bias
  • Race Spec Dampers (2 way Sachs)
  • Master kill switches
  • Tow eyes
  • Lifeline FIA rated, electrical activated, 6 nozzle, Novec Liquid fire system
  • Remote battery charge socket
  • Tonneau cover

US cars come no-charge decatted as they are sold as off-road only.

Currently inclined to go with Black Metallic and matte visual carbon lower body.

Sounds nice, but definitely not recommended for someone else who opts to drive it on the road - a bright color would help avoid the "being run over" thing...

Savyboy, here's a thread on Pistonheads discussing the very two cars above I think...
