I like the crazy exterior colors, but prefer a more subdued interior.

Nice car. The price is flat out too high. Passing is the correct move IMO.

Really nothing wrong with the spec...change the seats if you want something more aggressive and call it a day.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall!

Car ended up at a dealer, but not sure which. I'm sure it will show up in the marketplace soon.

There's a similarly optioned black one in Vancouver at MCL except with steel brakes and 2477km. no.408/600 230K CAD...
Looking at it today, when I was getting my Cayenne turbo serviced. Gonna go look again on Thurs when I get my 993 turbo windscreen fixed. I could probably talk my accountant into it but then I wouldn't have any excuse to being the slowest guy on the track. Also kind of expensive to use as a track car...

I looked at that car. It would cost you at least $15k to bring the car to the U.S. plus a whole lot of trouble.

Interesting #408 on the west coast.
I have #409 here in the east.

waw. imho it is truly a sign of an ultimate obsession to dump $200K on a 997 street tub.
not if anything would be wrong with it. if you like this kind of a car - why not. i would probably go with scud or something even higher if i had extra $200k-$250K cash to waste. but most likely it would be a nice boat instead.

Why do the used 4.0s cost close to 2x what the 3.8s cost?

people going nuts to acquire last of breed...
supply/demand

agreed though. car is not 'twice as good', maybe 15% better if you want to quantify it?

FYI...The Black 4.0 RS showed up at Porsche of North Houston at the bargain price of $249,000.

http://www.porscheofnorthhouston.com...Texas/4631563/

In the meantime, I have found a white one, but with the same sport seats. This one looks priced more reasonably. Same options except it doesn't have the battery or the $500 floor mats

The white ones are nice, but I'm not crazy about the decal look. Has anyone done anything different with decals besided just remove them?

Wow! that was quick. Car in Vancouver also has sold to a U.S. buyer....I love the black 4.0's, but I'm just glad I found a white one (with the orange side lights still on it)! Now I need a storage lift for the garage!!
