I thought Airbag light can only be disabled via PIWIS...

Not sure about airbags, this was for the TPMS (tire pressure monitor system).

I am interested to see if I can retrofit the .2 TPMS system as it's more robust and doesn't freak out like the .1 TPMS at the track...

This may be a rookie question regarding the Durametric 6 Pro, but will the $287 "Enthusiast" version disable the TPMS system?

I was an aircraft mechanic way back in my Army days and I've done 90% of the maintenance and repair work on every Porsche I've ever had. However, the $735 Professional version is more than I want to spend for a diagnostic tool. My GT3 is "street only", no track or auto-x if that matters.

Thanks!

I to try to do as much of the work on my cars as possible. The "enthusiast" edition is normally plenty as I believe it has more to do with the number of cars you can interface than functionality...

Looks like we're SOL without paying the added $448 for the Pro model.

>>>*Coding feature available with Durametric Professional kits only, except on Cayenne & Panamera.<<<

If you work and mod your car, it still ends up being money in the bank. Especially if you charge your buddies as Mooty suggests!

Hmmmmm- wonder if something like this will work for my "cornering light failure" annoying message and flashing high beam indicator??? Came on after car was clear bra-ed. Took out the headlights and the place moved the car a little in the process...

when we called Durametric they weren't sure... glad we have the pro version though.

Well dang, if Goldcrest can't/won't disable the TPMS, I guess I'll have to go with the Pro. Gotta love the "Porsche Tax"!

Mooty makes an excellent point but none of my car buddies have late model Porsches. They drive luftgekühlt 911's, hot rods or '60's muscle cars. Then again, maybe I can find some new friends if I spring for the Pro.

Try an Indy shop. Took mine all of 5 minutes.

But yeah, I seem to recall somewhere that durametric with the latest release 6 changed the pro to allow coding and enthusiast is only read.
