This is ridiculous, Porsche.
The whole thing; advertising these cars for the track, openly claim you won't stand behind your engineering when they're on track, having the cars not be able to withstand simple, non-competitive driving events and providing instructions for centerlocks that even your dealer technicians can't properly perform (After install on my 2010, 3 out of 4 splines were not engaged by the tech).
Will send a letter, email and a phone call to PCNA today. Futile? Probably...

It would be great if we could get as much detail as possible about this new failure. Details of the incident, maintenance history, etc....

Wow....... I helped DJN with the 'First' conversion, it isn't hard, isn't expensive and IS the appropriate action for a tracked GT3.....
Hope this guy is ok, that is one of the scariest pics I have seen in a long time...

Crazy photo!
Flashback to the 2010 Porsche GT3 Marketing film.....Red GT3 on a racetrack with Walter Rohl at the wheel.....
Whether they write the "fine print" in the owner's manual or not, someone will take them to task on this eventually, unfortunately it is going to be some poor guy's widow.

Any chance that tire selection is playing a role here? I would hope that the hubs are built to withstand any tire including slicks but I'm wondering if rubber that is grippier than a MPSC is causing the hub to fail. Are more or all of the failure cases on the same type of tire?

Jesus H. Ch... This is simply nuts.
How many owners do we think are here? I'm wondering if a letter drafted and signed by 100+ owners to PCNA might get their attention. If not, what about getting some more significant media attention. If there's one thing that big companies don't like, it's a blemish like this - especially when it has images this graphic. I know this may sound silly, but what about picketing in front of a local dealer with a blow up of this picture with the headline "got center locks?" It's time to put our heads and resources together. There's a lot of very smart people here.
And to those that say "just do a 5 lug conversion", to me that is no solution. What about the guys that are not on RL that have no idea of the significance of this problem? I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want my wife (or any wife for that matter) to be that first widow.
