Great video and annotations! Thoroughly enjoyable.

Glad no damage was caused by the spin too.

Do you have to much rear bias? I can't tell your entry speed, but it looks like you went deeper than I do in my Cup and your initial pressure might have been to soft and you kept pressing harder to get slowed down when the rears locked up. Your downshifts didn't seem to early, but might have been early enough to induce the lockup if the blips weren't good (hard to hear them on the video, if you have a auto-blipper, you might need a bigger blip.. the few times I ran mine I had it maxed out before yanking it off).

Thanks for the suggestion Mike. I was trying to go into T14 deeper than normal for a change of scenery and press ont he brakes too early and lock up the rear. I did manage to eas on the brakes and avoid flat spot ... that much I learned.

Hey Mike, I need to get your Cup car's set up specs for TH and LS for comparison. Will PM you

I still ask myself why from time to time. It has been a great learning experience

Here's a screenshot of T14 data in my car. I'm the red line, JvO is green. Your brake trace should look similar to get the shortest braking zone.

Also, remember the faster you're going the more aggressive you can apply the brakes.

As far as setup goes, it's pretty basic.. check out the IMSA GT3 Cup rules and put everything at the most aggressive. Starting from there, I usually just have to do slight tweaks to ride height and roll bars to dial it in. I use the same setup at Laguna, TH, and Sonoma -- normally just slight changes as noted above for track conditions or if I get a "funky" set of tires.

ps: double check your motec data and make sure the brake bias isn't changing throughout the braking zones. watching your video again, it really looks like you just have to much rear bias (assuming you have factory gear ratios).

Thanks for the suggestion Mike. Will look at my Motec. After my spin I went into T14 even faster and what I learn was that I have a tendency to go "oh ****" on the brakes and step on it too hard. I have to tell myself to go easy with the brakes and no issue after the spin. Spinning is like a warm up for me. Once I get scared then I go faster lol

Will look at the IMSA specs

by the way, these motec tracings are about just as bad as reading an EKG
