The final number of payments at end of business today will determine the final cost, i have 6 payments right now, the discount structure is listed on the first page and the price breakdown is posted on this page, $553 is retail, right now we are at 10% savings.

Everyones shipping amount will be slightly different for obvious reasons and this will be determined tomorrow when i run the payments. This was explained to everyone that has confirmed payment and everyone thus far has been ok with the process i am using.

Gunner, what is your e mail addr? i did not see an e mail regarding cable shipping, if i have your addr i can search for it easily. The cables come in a fairly large box, i am assuming shipping will be $20/$40 in the lower 48 depending on location, shipping into Canada will be slightly more.

I've had this mod for years. Love it.. It turns the gears into something like a springfield rifle bolt. Its very solid and not subtle.

There is slightly more noise - noticeable mostly in neutral. Engine sounds like its knocking a bit with clutch out. Thats the absence of the rubber ends. Otherwise a sublime upgrade.

Another well known forum sponsor, Carnewal, can offer:

"P96/P97 Cup Shifter Cables Will fit any P96/P97/P86/P87/P87C with manual gearbox.
Includes the parts you attach the cables to the standard or short shifter.
"

for ~$100US less than this "Group Buy".
Product is in stock, shipping is 3-4 days.

I'm out!!

1Gunner does have the right facts on Carnewal's price and availability, listed directly on their site. How about it Derek. Price match seems reasonable.

I do not know where Carnewal sources their cable( they are in Belgium), i can only assume that when parts are shipped to PMNA they incur duties/taxes and shipping that drive the price up. The Carnewal price is more than $50 less than my cost on this package.

I am purchasing all of these parts from PMNA. At a 13% GB discount I am giving up 90% of my 15% margin, meaning i am making 2% on each transaction in this GB. It simply makes no business sense to to go any deeper than that, there is nothing "weird" going on, as 1GUNNER stated.

I was approached by a member about starting this GB, I worked out the #'s and came back with what i could offer, plain and simple. TRG is not trying to make a "quick buck" as one member seems to think, that is not what we are here for. I cant argue, the Carnewal price is great, i wish i could match it, but losing $50 plus on each order would not go over well at all.

As of now, I will call everyone who has submitted payment in the AM(8-1-12) and see if they would still like to proceed, as everyone who did submit payment knows, i have not processed them yet.

Guys, I import from Europe. UPS, pallets via air and 40' containers.
Duties, Custom clearing and possible additional inspection fee's really add Up.

I just don't like the additional cabin noise with the LWFW....

I've ordered Porsche parts from Gert before and have never had any issues.

I understand Derek's point totally, especially as a Canadian seeing same parts in the US far cheaper than Cdn suppliers can provide.

Sorry to bring this on so late in the game, but I put it out there as due diligence and simply in fairness to the forum and in the spirit of "group buy" values.

@TRAKCAR... you really think you could hear Cup cable noise in your car?

Gunner, I have absolutely no problem with you bringing this info into this thread. Thats what this forum is for, the betterment of the community. I was asked to support this group buy and i did for the same exact reason. I do however take offense at the insinuations you threw around without having any knowledge of my supplier/pricing structure. You brought good , useful information to the group as a whole, myself included, you could have left it at that.
