Ok, I'm going to bump down a step for the streets. Does anyone have any recommendations on what a nice street pad would be?

If there is an is an issue on different compounds on rotors, I have a new pair of rotors sitting on the shelf that I can use for the streets. I'll just switch out for track duty if I have to.

Yup - here they are in picture form. The OE pads have the Porsche PN on them and "P90 FF" or "P40-3 FF" marked on them. The "Pagid" pads (eg. track pads) have the friction mat''l (RS-19) marked on them and the application part number (eg. U2707 for front, U8006 for rear) marked on them.

OE stock yellow front pad (made by Pagid) :

And the Pagid front pad (RS-19 compound) :

For completeness - the OE stock black rear pad (made by Pagid) :

And the Pagid rear pad (RS-19 compound) :

I can't be bothered to waste my time with the "noise dampeners" (aka spiders) ... so they are gone. The squeal is just more "music" ... more punk than symphony ... but music.

What's funny is that I actually don't mind the squeal, but it can be quite annoying to others and I really don't like to draw that attention.

It's bad enough with people coming up to the car and trying to race it in a Civic. Makes me want to make it a dedicated track car and never take it out on the street. That's the one plus of the RS4.
