Nothing to see with a straight edge, to the eye everything looks flat. It will take precision instruments to determine the deformation. Clearly though, the hub is flat and the wheel mating surface is not, otherwise my stock wheels would look funny and they do not.

Just be gentle so as to not bend it and follow the greasing procedure...
For cleaning, I've just been wiping the old grease off, should be we using a solvent to clean CL nuts?

After reading through all of these great (but disturbing) threads on the CL issue, and being on the wait list for a 991 GT3, I can only hope Porsche comes to their senses and offers a 5 bolt hub on the new car. Potential customer here; anyone at Porsche listening........?

I bet Porsche has somone that occasionally monitors forums however Porsche doesn't care about us and our thoughts or wants.

I usually do clean them up with some turpentine or similar. When they get hot, the grease base evaporates leaving behind the zinc metal which is the antiseaze... This won't come off with just wiping... Ideally you should be able to see the metal surfaces. I find that just wiping them smears the grease but doesn't remove it...

So just curious, my painter got just a little overspray on the back set of my track wheels. I have wiped clean to the best of my ability. Should I be worried about that?? The wheel fits fine and torques down on, it has not been loose upon removal??

Now I am scared.

Did you consult the 55 pages of technical bulletin for the paint removal procedure specific to CL wheels? If not buddy you're fooked. New hub. New wheels. New nipples. New nuts!

Kidding aside, I don't think the tolerances are THAT tight. If it's a full coat of paint that coat will probably rub off over time, but overspray should be no problem.

Seriously? Do you have a link for this source? Sounds like I should be thankful I don't have unwanted paint on my CL contact surfaces....
