Close call in dry conditions, no contest in wet the MPSS wins.
MPSS are going to replace my RE11 in the Fiat and Cayman once the tires wear out, but they just won't wear out.
Check the latest Car and Driver: 2012 BMW 328i tested at TireRack with MPSS and other tires, no RE11 in the test, but the fast R1R/RS3/ADV08 were included.

I loved the RE-11s but got greedy and tried the Trofeos.
The Trofeos were unbelievable but my fronts look pretty close to done after one day of not very smooth driving @ Streets of Willow.
For budget purposes I will need to go back to something that will last longer.
I am a drive to track drive on track and drive home guy. The RE-11 was very good for this but I think I will give the Super Sports a try next.

I just ordered the MPSS's from Tire Rack...I plan on using my RS as a arrive and drive car...I already have a 996 GT3 race car....which is a PITA to make quiet enough for Lime Rock

- 245 on an mk1 if you are at stock ride height is fine
- 235 if you are lowered at all
- if you run higher front spring rates you can use the 245
- if you don't care about the occasional bottoming out if you hit a city bump then you can also use the 245
- to keep the stock rake, you would technically have to lower the front by about 5mm if you ran the 245 if you are extremely **** about things
