Default time for another set of PSS- SF locals

Rears are worn out, so Im debating do I just replace all 4 corners, or do you guys typically do 2 sets of rears for every one front. Car is 2007 GT3. And does tire rack still have the best prices on the Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

For those local to SF, where do you take your car to get the tires changed.

Sounds like u got quite a bit of life left in the fronts. Use them for what they're worth!

BTW how many miles (street & track) did u get out of those rears?

I am here now and I would never recommend this place. I brought my car there and told them the front is very low, as I hve a cup lip, so to come in sideways. They folded my cup lip completely as they drove the car straight up Into their driveway. As I watched them do it. And they refuse to take responsibility for it. So now I have nice big scratches in it. On top of that I made an appt as I'd be leaving work. I call right before I leave to confirm again, and am told they will get me right in. I get there and they tell me it will be an hour before they can do anything.

Man sorry to hear that. It's unusual that they do that. They usually tell me to drive it on their driveway. Who did u speak with? John? Regards. Mike

Just switch the rears. That's what I'm going to do. I may even flip the rears, even though they have labeled "inside" and "outside" on the tire. I can't see what difference it would make other than rain performance. And even then it has to be 100x better than some of the shaved rcomps I've driven in the rain.

you might try Reitmeirs Werkstatt in Los Altos, they are a TR installer, work on BMW and Porsche and are also involved in motorsports (owner), I think they are more likely to pay attention to you than some oily sh*thole tire installer...

You could also ask Alex @ Sharkwerks who he uses for tires, or pop down to Saratoga to BR Racing...

i drive about the same distance to the porsche dealer in san diego. they have done very good work, and i have had miserable experiences with tire shops closer to me. there is a cavallo motorsports near me, but they send out mounting and balancing (don't know where) and it is more than dealership. other than that, no race shops anywhere near here that i know of....

@ Larry. You seem to know the most about these tires. Is there any reason you cant flip the rears on the rim despite the labeling?
