'free' 25PS power upgrade

Wow. That is an incredible gesture by McLaren.
Contrast that with Porsche making Turbo and PDK owners buy the Sport Chrono package to unlock what is already there. Makes you feel like a chump for supporting Porsche.

Hey Porsche how about a 5 lug retro fit for center lock wheel owners?!?!? This center lock ordeal with them breaking hubs is scaring me!

Drove w a silver one at practice today - sounded so insane I asked from a ride ... Very bad camera work sadly but sounds great!
GoPro doesn't work handheld ... But the grip in the corners (road tires) was impressive, the sound sublime, the GForce in a straight line!!!
... I agree w Trak 100% turbo wise. In fact they've sold 30 MC this year in SA already, only 25 Gt2s/Turbos last year (not strictly like for like considering the 991 to come and the MCs newness - but notable)

...and McLaren already has a 75Hp upgrade available out of the option list under special request.
For the Porsche-Blind this car is invisible, but I consider it (from all dynamic standpoints) better than any 997 street car made to date, and better than any Fiat street car made to date (includes the Enzo). They are still working some glitches, and it should take them 3 years to get a stable product.
Engine is a Ricardo unit. Tranny is a Graziano unit. Optional brakes are the same Brembo used in the Scuderia, California, ZR1, Z06, but much more rear brake bias. The suspension is full of electronic gizmos and they are working on them. Curiously, it generates more downforce than a GT3 RS 4.0, without wing, F1 aero technology at play.
I'm looking forward to the GT3 version, hopefully with a mechanical or e-diff, an aerokit, no active aero, brake cooling, and a much needed 7-speed close ratio tranny, because the current gearset is way too long (useless 6th and 7th).
Optioned right, it is just 50 lbs heavier than the Scuderia, and almost 100 lbs lighter than a 3.8RS. With Sport bucket seats, no active aero, and some comfort stuff removed, they could release a lighter car than a Scuderia with close to 700Hp in the GT3 version, we shall see.
