Default Did Porsche put the wrong headlights in my car?

This is a weird one. I went to pick up my new to me '11 GT3RS yesterday (thanks Scott40) and I noticed the headlights contain only one projector, not two, which I think means these are the lightweight halogen lights, not the bi-xenons lights (see the pic below). However, the car has headlight washers (in fact it has the Porsche Exclusive painted washers). My understanding is that lightweight headlights don't have headlight washers. Furthermore, I have the original window sticker and there's no mention of the optional lightweight headlights (the bi-xenons were standard on these cars; the lightweights were a no-cost option; I would assume if the car had this option it would be on the sticker). The original owner tells me he did not order the lightweight headlights and the car should have come with bi-xenons. I've looked up other pics of the front of other people's .2RSs, and they all show two projector headlights. My only conclusion is Porsche put lightweight headlights on my car by accident.

Is my logic flawed somehow? Have I misidentified the headlights on my car and they are in fact xenons? Anybody ever heard of this happening? And any idea if they can be retrofitted (I know in older cars they couldn't)

I'm a bit bummed, as the Xenons are safer at night (this car will see the track and the street) and I'd really have preferred to have them.

Other than that, the car is freaking fantastic. Can't wait to put some mile on it....

Very nice! Congrats. Hard to tell from the picture, but they look like the lights on my Boxster, which are the bi-xenons.

And once you turn the lights on at night, you'll know for sure whether or not they are the bi-xenons from the light quality and light pattern (tight narrow beam).

I'm pretty sure there are 3 different headlights for these cars. It appears you have the standard xenon lights. I believe Bi-xenon cornering lights are optional as are the lightweight headlights which are not xenon. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe the cars with two projectors have the Dynamic/Adaptive (not sure what they called it in 2011) lighting option (where the lights swivel with the steering, Tucker style). You have standard bi-xenons.

They are bi-xenon lights, but not adaptive ones, which have two projectors you are thinking of.
Best, w

Blue Moon fine, but Bud Light? come on Seth you're better than that. At the current euro rates, Warstainer is cheaper than Bud, is light (to stay on topic) and vastly better.

You guys are awesome. Thanks for the info. And you are all correct-- they are in fact xenons, just not the dynamic lights. I didn't realize there was a third option for headlights on these cars.

Thanks all.

How are these bi xenons? I have the same lights and when you flick the high beams they flash with the halogen bulbs. Shouldn't it operate the shield instead to open up the whole projector lens?

Does it do that only when you flash or also when you click high beams on?

Sometimes you need quantity over quality.

Not at my rapidly decaying age. Quality or quality with quantity.
