I think Mike is right, my old car is still goig on Mancation somehow :-)
Stephen, sell it after mancation July 6->July 24
I never considered going on Mancation! Sounds like fun, but I won't have a trailer or real tires. Aren't these prerequisites? And if not, any space left?

Yup - relocating to Shanghai by year's end. Never made that a secret.

I am sure Peter is right. I'm sure I'll end the listing once I drive the car on June 8th.

roberga - That would be ideal! However, haven't looked into how I would get insurance for the vehicle as I do not own US property. Also, not sure how state taxes would work. Will look into this next week to see if it is a viable option. If you do have any insights for me, I'd really appreciate a PM. I go down to Seattle often.

My concern of importing it to Canada is that it is a much smaller market and I'll pay enough duties to be out priced for a comparable US car. But if I can enjoy the car in Canada, then it might be worth it.

Register it in Oregon, no taxes. Work a deal with Gamroth for some storage.

If I had the time to take off work I'd throw my wheels/track tires in Peters trailer and follow them around in the car on street tires.

Tire Rack has the new OZ's in 18" for the GT3RS...like $2300....buy those, track them in Florida and then Mancation and I'll buy them from you this summer when you are done. I'm selling my 19" OZ's and want the 18" version.

it looks as though francois will be of 'no fixed address'!
visiting all the circuits of america in his cayman and keeping the beers well-chilled. haha
does the 6.2 fit in the back of that thing?
like, it's gotta have a garage to be a proper home.

I did not accept a local offer for exactly what I asked for. I'd have to import it any way.

Thus, this car will make a trip from FL to Vancouver, B.C.

id drive the car from florida to vancouver for you

It is a great GT3RS that begs to be in Canada....

You can always transport it to Porsche in Washington, have them program daytime running lights and change the oil. Fly down, pick it up and drive home to vancouver.

You so worried about gauges... I didn't think you had time to look at gauges when driving flat out.

Nobody in Canada (that I have met) cares about the dials in mph, I have imported 3 US 911's in to Canada in 6 years. No one says a thing when you sell them, as they are declared US vehicles.
