Ha! I remember living in the South, my garage in Tennessee was AC too.
Just came in from the garage to look at the custom center caps (turns out a local body shop had painted them). I forgot to close the door and damn it was cold in there!
I love the PAC NW! Nature's AC everyday May through July. Then you need heat after October!

Since getting my car 2 years ago I've lost 1 dust cap.
I must say they were a big PITA to remove. Prying with a screwdriver, not trying to damage things but you needed to put a lot of force for them to "pop" and they fly all across the garage.
So now I always put a bit of grease (vaseline) on the rubber ring and I didn't loose a dustcap since nor are they hard to remove.

Gotta say that the CL on street cars does not seem very Porsche to me. What an unnecessary hassle. KISS method always works well.
When you take you're CL wheels into a tire shop, do they have the proper tools to take them off or do you have to call ahead and explain what you need???

I jack the car, take them off, load them up in the rex, get them fitted off and re-install myself...

i wouldn't let any tyre shop dude lay a finger on my CLs... Half of them can't even handle 5studs without threading the odd one, whilst being delusional thinking they are on a pitcrew and trying to rattle them on....

What these guys are saying - take them to a dealer or race shop. Most tire shops will not be able to remove wheels.
45 min to change whels??? This is after a couple six packs, yes?
