So I have been reading this thread from the start--deciding what to do, and forgot about it for a track day today--that is until I was checking my tire pressure after the first heat, and f#%k -- where is the rear driver's side dust cap? After 20 or so track days, maybe 100 heats total, I have never lost one--until I did. So I took the others off, and boom--each popped and flew about three feet. So, now I will drill a tiny hole or maybe just leave them off.
Has anyone bought a set because they lost one, and maybe want to sell them as singles?

At least your dust caps aren't custom like mine!

No, actually washed it last about a month before, and no rain on the tow to the track on a beautiful sunny day. I wonder how much the non-custom caps are? I will check. J

Where are you based? I paid that sort of money here in Aus but thats expected considering the rape us to the tune of $300k US for a gt3... Got a subsequent set in a different color shipped fron the US for about $20 a pop for my track wheels...

Just must be enough air in the cap heating up to cause the pressure.

12 months ago, I bought black/red RS caps from sunset imports for about $20 a pop... It sounds like they've obviously driven prices up even in the US

$39.55 per cap plus shipping. I doubt I will find them cheaper, so ordering one tomorrow. That's the only way I can be assured I will find the one I lost next time at the track.

Obviously they pushed prices up to bail out the rest of europe, lol...
Maybe one could make a career collecting these caps on the side of racetracks just like golf ***** at the golf course

$6.00 to ship makes $45.55 total, better than my dealer 72.00. I have already drilled the three caps I have left. If you do a tiny hole where the lines meet on the "T" and touch a black sharpie tip in the hole, its is almost invisible. I also did the base of the "3" but a little more visible.
