Used car appreciation is a good sign.

I think the demand for the 3.8RS keeps getting stronger, and supply is limited as they are not made anymore.

The next generation GT3 is far away from being released, and based on the powertrain it will be getting (no more race tranny, no more race engine), plus the unproven racing platform (Porsche is still racing with the 997), I can't see prices for the 3.8RS softening at all.

Very likely, 3.8RS prices will move another $15k up in the next few months.

The 3.8 GT3 RS is still the best bargain track day car from Porsche.
Um, yeah, but you forgot the part where the GT3 motor will have to be used in homologation for racing, so it will in fact be a racing motor. Just not the same racing motor. The Mezger motor is old, I would think in ~40 years, Porsche could design something using all new parts that was better.

Whatever it is will have to be better than the outgoing 4.0 if Porsche is to make the car competitive, unless the 991 handles that much better. Porsche has the only non V8 in FIA/GT2 level racing I think, all of the rest (at least the competitive ones) are V8.

So sorry to hear about the control arm! You're posting now, so I assume you're 100%. A control arm breaking?! That is seriously scary stuff!!! Glad to have Bernie and Steve help you out.

-> Back on topic. I have been sniffing around for 7.2 RS for a while and have seen prices go from a low of about $110K - $115K, and now I see $120 - $125K . Yes, they have appreciated.
going into turn 6 too fast, right front wheel slipped onto the mud, which is quite a bit lower than the track surface. The edge of the concrete did the damage. Car is otherwise not damaged at all. I'm sure Bernie and his team will fix it and make it better than before.

Randy, race driver of Bullet Racing, gave me some good pointers on gearings and track lines. He is easily 5 seconds or more faster than me driving my RS.

Geez - I see. RMSP is not forgiving if you're off track. Good to know the control arm didn't snap during driving, but due to concrete rubbing. Good to see Bernie/Steve take care of their customers.

Randy can take 5 seconds off your 1:57?! Would love to see that.

You've got the most modded 3.8 RS I know of in Vancouver. Really happy to see you tracking it! Also, you've got UNLIMITED track days with RMSP!!! I'd use it all I can if I were you!

Your car is in perfect color. Too bad paint-to-sample was not available when I ordered.

same as Senna, although Aqua blue looks very good as well.

I'm glad that my Aqua blue RS and Azurro California blue #13 are both the only one in Vancouver, making them both very unique.

that aqua blue/gold is the best (non PTS) color combo for the RS IMHO ... having seen SW's RB&Orange I think I have seen the best PTS!!!

Beautiful picture Tim! I agree with you and Larry - PTS Riviera or Mexico Blue would be my favorites. Would love to see either in person someday.
