Default Hell of a deal (or undisclosed negative history)

Nice price for nice, low-option GT3! They say no accidents, but the listing doesn't show the free autocheck report like most other listings do.

It's suspicious because these (other) guys had their listing up with an accident on the free autocheck report initially. No-one bought and then they relisted without the free autocheck report....

The red one looks like it has had front end damage. The paint doesn't have the same finish as the doors and rear of the car. The door sill also has fisheyes or some other contaminant under the paint and the serial number sticker has clearly been removed/reinstalled. The work doesn't look good at all. It could be a great track car as long as the frame isn't bent and the price was right!

997GT3s in the $60s....... close to 996 GT3 money...

they have higher mileage and no warranty and perhaps paint history like some have mentioned.

They would be great candidates for removing the sunroofs and adding track parts

hell of an eye, my friend

It just bugs me when sellers don't report accidents or say 'NO PAINTWORK, NO ACCIDENTS!!'. It makes you wonder what else they'd be willing to conceal

All 997.1 GT3's are candidates for removing the sunroofs!

They took down the vehicle history on the white one. I was looking at it yesterday. The history was showing that it could not pass state emission test several times, so I would believe it has not been repaired correctly. It’s showing sale pending on it right now. I would walk away from both of these. Why spend so much money on something with known problems. IMHO

Yea I inquired about the white one today and was gonna have 930Man go check it for me... They contacted me and said it would CPO, but then contacted me again within 30 minutes and said they took a deposit on it. Also said several dealerships were interested in the car...

As to the price, unfortunately NADA and KBB show the price within their "range" of average... My guess is that we're going to see more of these "deals"...

what kind of accident would prevent a car from passing emissions? Unless a cat was damaged....or the engine was overrevved maybe?

thats what i would think, some type of rear end hit or something along the lines. history showed it failed testing, then it passed, then it failed, then passed, then failed, then passed.

I don't put any stock in that failed emissions report... It passed at another location... I'd be more interested in if there were any type2 overrevs...

I saw nothing in the report for "accident or paint" damage.

you pulled the report? I'm guessing it may have a clean report, but the guy pronged the bumper at some point

Type 2 over revs are okay
1 and 2 okay - 3 and up questionable... or that's what I thought

I think the severity & quantity of the over-revs are the bigger issue, if you can get an ECU dump. I had a client looking at at .1 GT3RS, suggested he have an ECU dump done, there were over 1,000 over-revs of varying type & severity in the life of that car. No thanks.

The white one seemed to be a great track car at $65-ish
