Default ECU reflash recall on my 2010 GT3...

Took the car into Sonnen Saturday for its annual maintenance/service and they reflashed the DME due to a recall/TSB.

Was unable to obtain details... just a heads up/fyi.

Checked PIWIS TSI and got nothing.. Must be a recall; Dealer / recall campaigns are often missing or appear later.

Maybe to stop the car from hickupping and throw the SC failure code?

This has been posted before.....had my car in to have bypass removed and Service Advisor told me of the DME campaign. He said it was due to a few cars showing zero oil pressure at start up. Had car reflashed and on my way.

wsh

Happened to me, cleared code and all OK.
But I will bring it in to get reflashed just in case.

Oh BLEEP! what do we do if we have aftermarket software? Alex-Sharky?

Cheers!

hypothetically speaking, it is not hypothetically clear that the reflash will overwrite the hypothetical aftermarket firmware.

again hypothetically a local owner that might hypothetically have such firmware (prior to the reflash) might go and find out if its still intact or not, and report back any hypothetic findings...

Oh and the good news is that the dealer did not detect the hypothetic firmware during the reflash operation...
