Please post a link to this tool on your site. I can't seem to find it there. Thanks.

Can you add the GT3 Cup studs to a car that already has the time-serts installed?

I'm not crazy about the pad spreader but I REALLY like the spring spreader. Changing the front pads without it was a PAIN! Literally.

Dawg,

Let me know how the Cobalts work for you. Did you go with the XR2's? I am up to 9 days on mine and still a lot of life left.

Curious too... I'm thinking of trying the PFC08 but I hear good things with Cobalts too.

I tested XR1, their top of the line for racing application and I was very impressed. Great progressive modulation, great stopping power, this was done on Carbon rotors.

I also put a set of XR1 on Paul's 458 Italia, and his brakes went from horrible at Sebring, to hand of god stopping power, no fading, great durability, easy on rotors.

Bedding in XR1 is a matter of few minutes. There are currently my favorites, until I get my hands on Endless pads (pretty soon).

I couldn't see why not. The serts take the factory caliper bolt. I'm getting ready to put the studs in as I have serts. Caliper removal is a total pita without the studs.

I think they are xr2's. Good question. I told Andi to send me what you had. He led me to believe fit might be dicey as they hadn't done a 997 gt3 yet and he wasn't sure on pad thickness. When they showed up I thought for sure they would have to be milled down but they fit perfect.

Andie is a good guy. I think you will like the pads. Will be interesting to see how your wear is as you are running slotted front rotors and mine are plain. I was wondering if my running plain rotors without the shaving effect of the slots has contributed to my long life. Enjoy Barber.

$27 is a great deal. I paid more than that a few years ago. Wonderful tool.

Turns out I have XR1 compound. Andi is very technical. He called me on Sat to explain the differences. I didn't get most of it. The takeaway was that it has higher initial bite. Wear should be similar.

I have the Giro SPreader in stock, nice price, and apparently the preferred pad spreader

Quick Reply: Has anyone tried this pad spreader?
