Default .2 RS price feeler

I'm enduring seller's remorse after letting go the .2 GT3 yesterday. I sold it as I am planning to move to China as early as Sept 2012.

However, I can't stop thinking about .2 RS's since then. For Jun/Jul/Aug, I would love to do more track days with a .2 RS before I leave, but would like to limit my losses. Any suggestions/interesting arrangements?

I would be I interested in a well documented .2 RS. No PCCBs a must, everything else I can live with. Anyone out there know of nice available samples?

Thinking of $120K +/- $5K depending on options. Am I in the ballpark?

Stephen,

It will be very hard to sell it in September.

How about renting your ex-GT3 from your friend, or my RS for a very dear price.

Won't be easy at that price this time of year.

Get in line, Ed!!! Lol.

Thanks guys, yes. It will be difficult to let go.

I would be very interested in working something out Tim, but I can't tell if you're kidding or not. Send me a PM if you're not.

I'd only drive it with you at the track (where we have no insurance either way). And of course be full responsible for any incidents (knock on wood).

I have visitation rights to the car (weekends, etc.) but don't want to "take advantage" of my friend with long trips and being hard on consumables.

I know he is kidding, that is why I asked to rent it. I have my own GT3 to abuse, and it isn't going anywhere....I just need the parts to show up so I can get it back.

Thanks Lindsay for the link. Do you know the car personally? Specs are exactly what I'm looking for.

I don't. Just ran across it while surfing autotrader. Good luck.

You are going to buy an RS to have for 3 months?

Ed is a good friend. He knows me well.

Stephen, I will trade my RS for your Carrera GT on the track any day.

Not rational, I know. Hence, I am trying to work an exit strategy with a known cost.

More I think about this, it is a dumb idea. I sold the car to make sure I cleaned up loose ends before relocating.

I should contact Bullet Racing and ask them if they have cars for hire at their track days. I've never driven a 996 Cup car and I've never been on slicks. I think it'd be a worthwhile option for an arrive and drive turnkey solution depending on the price.

Drop me a line when you're over here. There're various local track events to keep your inner flat-out driver alive. The driver standards aren't quite there yet, but the infrastructure and quality of cars certainly is!
