Default RRR II w/ 4.0

Did second track day yesterday with my 4.0 at Roebling Road. Went with TopSpeed motorsports who brought there One Lap GTR for Leh Keen to test tires and do final set-up. The car is a monster, with street SuperSports, and on his second lap He clicked off a 1:13.4 with several more in the high 13s. I think they are set for the event.

My 4.0 was set-up essentially the same as the first time except, we installed a new set of Ray's wheels, I got from savyboy, Beautiful! and a slightly "narrow" & used set of Hoosier R-6s. - No other adjustments. The tires were good and the car felt much more planted than with the Sport Cups that Leh turned 1:16s with last month. This session 1:14s with 1:14.3 best. The car still has a little more to give, with fresh tires in the proper sizes and some suspension tweaking, 13s are probable.
What a car ! Allan

Yes, the tires are 235/315. Previously used on a Cup Car, but in good shape. The car also had a full tank and two on board. Pics to follow. Allan

The 235 and 265 Hoosier in 19" are as wide as each other. The 325 and 315 are also the same width. 345 won't fit unless some body work is done (too wide and tall).

The next big size Hoosiers need 18" wheels, 255/35R18 and 335/30R18.

Just taking a passenger out (200 lbs ballast) can help you drop another second a RRR. I once had a passenger riding with me for an entire day at PBIR, passenger out on the last session, and my times dropped by 2 secs.

I was following Allan around with a camera again this trip. There are a lot of pictures to go through that I will post later, but here is a teaser.
