Just returned from the anodizer and my wheels suffered some rinsing fluid runs. It was very minor but they are going to redo them and plug the holes where the fluid ran from.

Steps:

Chemical Strip of paint
Aluminum Oxide Blasted, for a textured finish.
Brite Dip for jeweling effect on the facets that the texture created
Gold anodize.

I have to say they look amazing in person. I also had the inside barrels painted black to hide brake dust. I'll have the wheels back on Tuesday and will reassemble them and get them mounted up. Stay tuned!

Comments, critiques all welcome. Like it? Hate it? Waste of Cash? Too much Bling? Insanely Awesome?

You can see in this picture where the cleaning fluid ran out of the center cap screw holes and bleached out the finish. Other than that, they look amazing!

Not sure if it's your camera or not but that gold color looks brighter than the BBS gold I've seen...right?

These should look real nice. I don;t know if you track or not but when they get heat on them at the track and some nicks and stuff from multiple tire changes anodized wheels turn odd colors I've seen and experienced. Anodized wheels turn funky colors....black anodized turns purple.

Yes, it's brighter from the brite dip process that I had done to the centers before they went under for the anodize bath. It's makes for a brighter finish. That color is pretty much how they look in person. The picture was taken without a flash under fluorescent lighting.

I do plan on running these at the track and if they turn color, then I'll just redo them. Wonder what gold will turn to.

Thanks for the comments!
