PM LehmanZ06 (David, don't call him Dave), he had a similar problem.

I would lift the car and reproduce the sound rotating the front wheels, then remove wheel to see if sound is still there. If sound is gone, check wheels and CL system. If sound still there, check bearings, rotor, abs gear.

It should be easy to find out.

Just listened.

Maybe different then mine, or maybe similar.

What you need to do is have someone walk or lightly jog next to car, see if noise sounds like it's coming from the center of the wheel. In my case the rotors had to be replaced.

The dealer tried swapping axle's one time, changing wheels bearings etc. Turned out to be the brake rotor, never got much of an explanation why. Also the noise was more from the right when turning left and vice versa.

Didn't really matter what gear, could hear it in all gears, but the slower you went the more you could hear it, as the rest of the car was quieter. The bearings, CL and other for me was fine....it was the rotors.
