Ok, so I have two brand new sets of hoosiers in my office. One regular, and one HC'd from TR.
Call me crazy, but the HC'd ones are stickier. Maybe the machine gets rid of any oils etc... that they use to preserve them for storage.
Now the experiment begins.

I put a sticker set of Hoosiers on the car.....take 3 to 5 autocross runs. Don't run the tire again for at least 1 week. When I run them again they look REALLY good.
I think it is not just the "heat", but the heat in conjunction with the tread scuffing the ground, which may make the tire more consistent and longer lasting.
It seemed to work the last 2 times I did this.

HC on machine: useless
HC per hoosier direction: helpful, but takes a lot of effort and coordination.
if you want to save money, do not run r6.
all that work takes the fun out of it.
just put a set on, thrash it, then get new set after a weekend.
