I like the look of the new boxster. A nice step forward.

Looking forward to seeing what they do with the 550 spyder version of it. It could become my next beater.

tadao ando is great!
don't know the other ones you mentioned, but i'll look them up.
i like minimalism with a touch of warmth; john pawson is a favourite, and local firms, ( both now defunct) burley katon halliday, and, engelen moore.

Yes, yes, they probably are, they've done it only 2 generations ago. I hate that.
You can pull the fuse.

I wish the aftermarket would step up and address some of these issues. The other one I'd really like is disabling the brake-throttle overlap prevention, and the off-throttle timing advance.

It would be nice if the aftermarket provided a hard toggle for "all nannies off".

I had been so upset when a few cars I owned in the past came with this throttle cut under slipping (traction contol) it is really annoying I must admit.

Pawson is way cool, and of course Ando. You should check out "Houses" if you don't already subscribe, cool Aussie single-family modern architecture mag.

I have to say that from an appearance point of view, the new Boxster is probably the best looking Porsche created since the 997.1 ... (and yes I am referring to the old Boxster, Cayenne, Cayman and worst of all the Panamera)...

sounds as though the car's handling (modulo the electric steering feedback) is improved...

I can't wait to see if they do a Spyder version, or an updated Cayman R ... either of those would be VERY hard to resist!

for the 911's I believe that Alex @ Sharkwerks can take care of the former ...

To me Porsche magic was always in the steering, not in the gear box. By first Porsche was a 1971 914. It had the worst gearbox ever, and then some, yet it was wonderful to drive due to its steering. I wonder if Sharkey or anybody else can retrofit a cup car steering system in the the 991 / 981.
