lol...now keep in mind I got this for my parents as their retirement gift, so I tried to be sensible. This started as a search for a VW Touareg, and then I got weak and this evolved into a metallic black on black with 21" rims.

Congratulations Clarke !
There is a Sebring event at the end of March. NASA Time Trials, bring your transponder, register for Hoosier contingencies, run the 2 days, claim 4 new free tires from Hoosier. Run the Black car in TTS, and I'm quite sure you can put on a good show. The current track record is a 2:20.40.
I'm very likely running the event in TTU, it is a faster class, but NASA sticks my Fiat straight from the dealer's showroom to TTU, along GT3 Cup, Challenge cars, and all sort of race cars, so I don't stand a chance to run at the front (not with my crappy driving and my crappy Fiat).

Way to go Clark!
All you baller RS guys...geesh! Can someone with a RS just give me a ride?...I'd return the favor but you'd be bored and take a nap in my car.

NASA top three Time Trial classes are TTR, TTU and TTS.
TTS has a weight/power ratio of 8.7
TTU has a weight/power ratio of 5.5
TTR is pretty much an unlimited class
The 3.8 GT3 fits in TTS, the 3.8 GT3 RS goes to TTU but some people have found inventive techniques to make it run in TTS. My Fiat runs in TTU and it is not competitive, but I can make it run in TTS if I want to.
Hoosier is a big sponsor of the NASA Time Trials, with 5 cars in class, Hoosier gives 2 free tires to the class winner per day. Typically, the NASA Time Trials runs on a weekend, so there are two independent events, and the winner both days can walk away with a free set of tires.
