Default My first video!

Hi all

My first video!

http://youtu.be/C4LhDesueIw

Camera is a GoPro Hero2 on 960P - 30 fps setting. Any tips on how to deal with the white-out?

Nice relaxed driving :-)

Soorry I am not familiar with GoPro.
Any way to get the camera forward, or soom it in more? You could still see your hands and feet but you'd see the left handers come up and it might help with the white out as well.

What viewing angle were you using? I just picked up Hero2 as well and have been playing with it. So far I like the medium angle setting best for MTB videos. Have yet to try it in the car.

Was using 960-30. Didn't use the "Spot On" feature which is supposed to be used when filimg from darker to brighter settings.

Just read the manual for the white out thing. There's a setting for videoing when the camera is inside the car which eliminates that (you currently have it setup for video out side the cabin but it will of course darken the inside video) but I can't remember what I ate yesterday so clearly can't remember how to operate the gopro. I just set it and forget it.

Car sounds AWESOME!!!!

Nice smooth driving I just wish I could see where you're going LOL

PS yep looks like you figured it out.

Lol actually I'm using it as a coaching video for my steering/throttle transitions. I'm trying to work my way up to where I'm WOT and being FORCED to open the steering on exit at >80mph. Still too scary for now One corner (which you can't see) is a 135mph left hander that immediately transitions into a heavy braking double left hander. Wasn't able to get it flat out in the video, but eventually did.

Downloaded the DBOX and seeing -1.05lat G @ 205 km/hr is awesome.

Yea try spot on vs off. I've played with both settings but it didn't seem to help much. However, mine is not as bright as yours

With the camera way back in the shadow of the cabin it'll be hard to get good clean shots of the track.

I'd suggest moving it as far forward as you can to get it out of the shadow once you're done watching yourself, but you do look good

I've got it mounted on the X-bar ahead of the harness bar. Will see what Spot On will do, if anything. Maybe can open a window to let more light in. Could mount it directly to the windshield, but I do want to see myself driving so I can see what I'm doing wrong!

Would a polarized filter work to reduce white out? Mike
