You're set as long as you're happy with it. There are tradeoffs with every setup.

You could make it sound louder with a 4.0 conversion:P

I love my side muffler delete set up. More power in the mid range, more torque, a lot lighter and no drone.

For me, a win win situation

Just did the side muffler delete and the car sounds great. It was not very expensive. When you add in the weight loss and removal of heat from the rear tires, it's a great mod for the track. I will say it does drone at low RPM. Most noticably in sixth while cruising down the interstate at 65ish. I tend to actually keep it in 5th to increase the RPM's.....but I didn't buy the car and I doubt anyone else did to cruise down the interstate doing 65.

Guys I have a 2007 997 S and am considering the side muffler delete (side muffler bypass pipes from Fabspeed).
Is there any lose of torque / power? Car has the sport crono option. When removing the side mufflers do you plug the vacuum line?
Sorry fir the stupid questions but I'm new to Porsche.

Also, I've heard mixed things regarding emissions in California. I am interested in the Fabspeed muffler bypass for a 997 but is that illegal in California? In their youtube videos he says it's legal but I'm assuming that's not in California. Are any of them muffler bypass components legal here?
