I did both the engine, filter and trans oil at 1500km... Like the engine, the trans is new and the gears will start to bed in during this time... Clutch packs from diff share same fluid so may as well get rid of any loose metal filings floating about... Would i go to the trouble for my everyday basher, no! But this ones a keeper, so I want to do the best I can to ensure a trouble free run...

ps. The idea behind the early fluid changes is to remove metal and contaminants from the assembly process... Your gearbox would equally benefit from a flush...
