yep. this car is ridiculous. it's like a 2-passenger giggle-booth. and it's in brand-new condition, literally. sharkwerks did a DME scan and the car came up zeros across the board. funny, seeing that i tested drove a turboS for just a few minutes and hit the rev-limiter twice!

yeah, i'm embarrassed to admit the level of anticipation, based mostly on reviews and videos. i only had 10 minutes and a couple of miles in a 3.8 GT3 before the purchase. enough to know i wanted it, but short of appreciating the details. had no idea that this machine would make you want to slap your mamma in the face. f**king brilliant.

i was thinking about changing out the leather wheel for an alcantara-covered wheel.
any opinions on that? are the two identical other than the surface material in terms of thickness?

You're a funny guy, thanks for posting.
Love the white yellow accents, your car needs RS wheel.

If you go with the ticker RS wheel, you get the black center, either way you get the yellow strip in the middle at noon. Perfect for your car.

I really prefer the thicker rim and alcantara, but some do not.

You can get it from Suncoast.

yep, that's the one. is there any interesting difference between the RS wheel and one of the alcantara wheels that comes on a GTS with the metal spokes?

black may have less sun reflection in your eyes to bother you while driving.
Alcantera is better grip than leather
yellow 12 stripe
The grip portion should be a little wide- better to hold onto stronger grip
direct replacement fitment
Black and alcantera looks better in my opinion and I had another point but forgot it while typing the above lame points.
what else would be benefited?

I still don't know why anyone prefers the smooth leather over alcantara. alcantara feels so much better!

some people have a fetish for leather, that's why it's so popular.

I know the feeling all too well. 997.2 GT3 has been in a container for almost three weeks going from Miami to Munich (hence the Avatar shot). As the days for arrival get closer the butterflies get worse. Same fantastic automobile but this time on a different continent......it's like starting all over again.

Wait a week? That's nothing... I bought a 997.1 gt3 in November and... HAPPY THANKSGIVING, then MERRY CHRISTMAS, then HAPPY NEW YEAR, then HAPPY VALENTINE... it's finally in Philippines shores! Just another month or so...
