Default Zone 8 Rep Response to GT1 Coolant Issue

I emailed my zone rep. regarding the known coolant issue with the GT1 based cars in the hopes of their discussing proactive steps to address it on track. I also hoped they would consider using their weight to raise the issue for discussion with PCNA.

The response: "This isn't something the club gets involved with. Sorry, I know that's not what you want to hear".

If the largest group of Porsche owners won't get involved, who the hell will? Am I expecting too much to even open a dialog?

I spoke with people from our local chapter and as of now they are also steering clear of the issue.

The way the OVR release was phrased it almost looked like a tech bulletin from Porsche declaring an issue with the product. Kudo's to them for doing so but I'm going to guess PCNA is not too happy with OVR for doing this.

PorscheAG won't do anything about this issue until the class action lawyers get involved.

Hmmm , I wonder how will Porsche react when a bunch on GT owners file an attempted manslaughter lawsuit?

I have heard there are class action lawyers already researching this, can't say when they will litigate.

there were lawsuits against porsche on numerous issues on 996 m96 based cars - eventually free will of PCNA is limited to 4 years after car production and is freely based on their internal customer evaluation. other than 'free will' you get nothing and lawsuits gave nothing.
yes, if you want to get something good out of this you`ll need a very sharky lawyer who knows his job well.
to simplify the situation - you need to wait for a first casualty, when something dies due to this BS you will have your case. until that - good luck.
