well written, but stop spreading this rubbish.
most ppl talk about 4.0 few driven them.
dont let them know what we have. i need the price to tank, so i can buy 10 of them.
just like the orig 500E and 450SEL 6.9 or 600 pullman. you either get it or you dont. pop has 4 450SEL 6.9's. that's all he drives. nothing beats it.
or MB1 MB2, RB1, RB2, or roller cam brakes on newsboy. if u know what your frames, you drool over them. if you dont... well you can ride the latest carbon fiber stuff that i throw away every five years.
back to porsches. the 3.8RS and 996GT3 will be the toys to keep.

For your sake I hope you are 100% right.....for my sake I hope you are dead wrong ...
It would be the only 997 that this would be the case.

Looks like the delta between 4.0 and 3.8RS is 60K.
I am not a car collector so I don't care much about a car keeping its value.
I obviously have not driven a 4.0. There is only one in Vancouver and I know the owner. It is hibernating in his garage now.
So, ignoring its "holding future value" theory, just comparing the two cars for driving behaviour only, other than 50 hp more, what else is so difference between the 4.0 and 3.8 that sort of justify the 60K delta?
For me, someone that cannot drive the 3.8 at 10/10 or even 9/10, can I realize the performance advantages that the 4.0 can offer me on the track?
