Default Question for those in the Bay Area

Any suggestions where I should take my GT3 for an oil change. I just dont have the time right now to do it myself. Preferably would like to stay around SF or Peninsula, even as far south as Mountain View.

Rector Porsche in Burlingame. I have had my 03 Turbo there for servicing (oil/filter/alignment) and my Boxster for I forget what now and received excellent service.

Call ahead to make an appointment and you may be able to wait for the car.

Sincerely,

Macster.

I also live in the Peninsula.

For dealer, I only go to Porsche of Fremont even there is a little drive. Gunter (Service Manager) really takes excellent care of our cars and I believe many local forumers will ditto that. If we ask, Gunter usually will offer us a loaner/rental car while our car is in service.

For independent shop, for years I have been using Tony Heyer (owner) of Heyer Performance in Mountain View (heyerperformance.com, 650-962-0930.) Feel free to mention me - Alex w/ the Altas Grey 997.2 GT3. If you are at his shop, it is also fun to chat with Tony, as he used to work on the Porsche race cars (917, 962, etc.) in Le Mans (the one in Europe, not the ALMS.)

Regards,

Its a little farther south that you stated you wanted, but I would recommend BR Racing in Los Gatos; they usually have several 3's in the shop and provide excellent customer service.

For what its worth, if the GT3 is anything like the GT2, it is (surprisingly) the easiest/quickest oil change of any car I have ever owned. You'll have it done in less time than it takes to drop the car at a shop (and you'll know it was done right...!)
